Little Spikes is BACK and BETTER than ever!
We are now better known as All Spikes!

Community & Growth-Focused

It All Starts At Little Spikes, And Now We Can ALL SPIKE.

At All Spikes Volleyball, our mission is to provide every child a chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, and supervised environment. We want to foster a vivacious community of zealous youth, junior, and elite athletes/coaches dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in volleyball. We strive to provide a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers individuals to have fun and love the game of volleyball at a young age and develop/enhance their skills, embrace teamwork, and reach their full potential both on and off the court as they reach the next level.

One of the main objectives of the program is to encourage children to do the best with their abilities.  It is built on the foundation of instilling a love for the game, nurturing talent, and fostering a winning mindset.

Above all, our ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for volleyball, encouraging our players to continue their involvement in the sport beyond their time with All Spikes. We aspire to be a catalyst for personal growth, leadership development, and lifelong friendships, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of each of our players.

About the Founder

“An expert in anything, was once a beginner”

"Coach D" is from Southern Maryland and attended Thomas Stone High School (TSHS) where she was a 3-sport athlete and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.  In the sport of volleyball, her team won 3 Regional Titles and was in the State Finals in 1997.  She received a full Division I scholarship to play volleyball in college from 1998-2002 at NCA&TSU where she received Freshman Student-Athlete of the Year and MEAC Utility Player of the Year her senior year as well as many other accolades. Although she was received the call to play oversees, Coach D turned her love for playing into a love for coaching and came back home as an Asst./Head Coach at TSHS for 9 years.  After moving to Calvert County and not coaching for some years to raise a family, in 2015 Coach D stepped out on faith and embraced a vision after noticing that volleyball was one of the few sports not started at a younger age.  From there, "Little Spikes" was a dream that became a reality and where the affectionate motto was “It All Starts at Little Spikes”.  This would be a camp and league in Calvert County whose players would start at the age of 4 which was one of the few in the COUNTRY at that time to start at that young of an age.  It became a huge success but Little Spikes took a pause in 2020 during COVID.  In late 2020, Coach D became an Assistant Coach at Huntingtown High School and in 2021 she became the Head Coach.  In 2021, the high school team won the 3A Regional Finals and went to the 3A State Finals.  The team has been back to the Regional Finals each year since that time.  Coach D never lost her passion for wanting to bring Little Spikes back into the foal, especially when so many players that started at Little Spikes continued to play and have become exceptional players for high school and club; some of which she is now coaching at HHS and coaching against at high schools in Southern Maryland.  Now, here we are…

Coach D is currently the Assistant Coach for the 18U Boys National Annapolis Volleyball Club (AVC) team and previously a coach for the 15U National team.  Her son, Noah (pictured above) has played for the 18U National team since he was 13 years old and has been chosen by the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) as one of the best in the nation.  He has also become a Top setter in the Class of 2027 amongst Boys National Volleyball Players and was selected to train at the National Training Development Program (NTDP) in Colorado Springs, CO 3x per year.  Being at the NTDP program with her son has helped Coach D to leverage national level teachings, skills, and drills because she is gaining wisdom, knowledge, tactics, and trainings from top college/national coaches across the country, professional players, and present/former Olympians.  Coach D’s daughter is 11 and she is training her as a dominate player as well.  During the day, Coach D works as an engineer/program manager and is married to her husband, VaShawne.  They have 2 children, Noah and Nia, and they all share in a love of numerous sports.
